In a retail business, there are many occasions where you may need to process a refund or product exchange. That's why, at Revo RETAIL, we have simplified this operation to make it quick and easy.


How to process a refund:

1. Access the menu r.

2. Click on Search Invoice. Enter the invoice number manually or, if you have the physical receipt, you can scan it with an external barcode reader or using the iPad camera.



If you don't have this information or don't have the receipt, you can go to Invoices and use the to locate an invoice from previous days.



3. Once the invoice is located, click on the icon to start the process.

4. Select the product or products to be refunded.

5. Next, we have two methods to process the refund:

  • Automatic refund: This will process the refund of the products with the same payment method originally used.

    Click OK.



    Click OK.



    If you go to Invoices, you will find the invoice in negative with the same payment method used in the original transaction.



  • Refund: This will give you the option to choose the payment method for the refund.

    Click OK.



    Choose the payment method.



    Click OK.



    If you go to Invoices, you will find the invoice in negative with the same payment method used in the original transaction.




How to process a refund to a gift card

There is another option, which is to process the refund to a gift card.

To do this, follow all the steps described above, but when choosing the refund method, select Refund.

When the payment screen appears, instead of selecting cash or card, click on other payment methods and select Gift Card.



On the screen that appears, click on generate so that REVO creates a code for the gift card, or manually enter a name or code.



Note: There is also the option to add the balance to an existing gift card by manually entering the ID or by using your device's camera to scan it.

Finally, click on to confirm the creation of the gift card and close the refund order.

Note: After completing this process, a gift card will be printed for the customer, and you can track it in the back office, from the Promotions / GIFT CARDS section.
